Baldwin Lonsdale Memorial School(010490) is a mixed school, located in Sola, Torba Province.Our School Formerly known as Arep Secondary School, we later changed our name to Baldwin Lonsdale Memorial School in honor of Baldwin Jacobson Lonsdale, the eighth President of Vanuatu.
Baldwin Jacobson Lonsdale (August 5, 1948 - June 17, 2017) was a Vanuatu politician and Anglican priest who served as the eighth President of Vanuatu from September 22, 2014 until his death in 2017. He did much for us during his time in office, working hard to appeal for aid in disaster situations, insisting on upholding the constitution that no one is above the law, calling for the unity of the people of Vanuatu, etc.
Under his will, we are committed to providing a good education for the children of Vanuatu. Our school offers both junior secondary and senior secondary education in English and French, with over 200 boarding and day students and dozens of teachers. With the support of all parties involved, our school is well equipped with adequate classrooms, electricity, water, computers, etc.
